Map of the Course130 viewsThe course starts at Paradise and does a loop though the beech forest before coming back and heading out onto the road past Diamond Lake. This is a very fast part of the course. The Cruisers then continue along the road, while the others head the the base of Mt Alfred and start the 400m climb.
The descent is quite steep and with a bit of rain, can be quite slippery. The course then joins onto the main road that goes out to Routeburn. It goes back to a single track and follows the base of Mt Alfred.
